WHY is it important to practice safe disposal of prescription drugs for me and my family?

Approximately 50% of people who misuse prescription pain medicines get them from a friend or family member. Don't share unused #opioids.

Teens may take opioids that are not prescribed for them. Intentional misuse of prescription pain relievers and other prescription drugs by teens is an important public health issue, contributing to alarming rates of overdose and death. Many people who misused prescription pain-reducing medicines said that they got their most recent pain reliever from a friend or relative. Prevent potential misuse by restricting your teen’s access to opioids

HOW DO I SAFELY DISPOSE OF OPIOIDS?

You can safely dispose of your unused prescriptions and other medications in Big Piney/Marbleton at Marbleton Sheriff Office and in Pinedale at Altitude Drug, and Sublette County Circuit Court lobby.
