VFW Holds QPR Training


The Sublette Prevention Coalition sends a big shout out to servers at the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 4801 for coming in early to work to attend a Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention training. The hour-long program was taught by Melinda Bobo and Randy Belton on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Individuals who are now QPR trained are: Karrie Hartley and Cindy Mitchell from the VFW and Billie Hamby from the Veteran’s Service office in Pinedale.

Did you know … that in 2017, Wyoming ranked third-highest in the United States for deaths by suicide?

Did you also know that there are twelve local individuals trained to come to your business or group and train you and your staff to recognize the warning signs of suicide? The training will also give you the tools to get immediate help.
