January 2022 in Prevention

Greetings and Happy New Year!

Here’s what’s happening in prevention this month:

Monday 1/3/22: The Suicide Prevention Task Force met and discussed expanding use of the community mental health fund; planned a QPR schedule for the next 3 months; reviewed the decrease in Title 25 numbers in 2021.

Tuesday 1/11/22 — 12 - 1PM: The Tobacco Task Force meets at noon online on zoom and in person at Public Health. Includes lunch, RSVP required for lunch! The team will be reviewing and discussing possible strategies for the 2022-2024 grant cycle. The current grant cycle concentrated on adult tobacco cessation and promoting smoke free businesses. We would like to do more with youth in the next grant cycle. See below for the full agenda. Contact Trisha for the Zoom link:

Wednesday 1/12/22 — 10:30 - 11:30AM on ZOOM: Sublette Community Mental Health Fund Q & A with Melinda Bobo. Do you have questions about what the fund can and cannot do, who can use the fund, how does the fund work? This is an opportunity to ask and hear from others.
