How Water Benefits Your Brain

Everything from our happiness to how well we age depends on our brain. Regular exercise, drinking enough water, and getting enough sleep are all free and no cost habits we can cultivate for optimal physical and mental health.

Benefits of Adequate Hydration:

• Increases focus, clarity and creativity

• Decreases headaches

• Decreases brain fog and afternoon fatigue

• Removes toxins

• Improves sleep

• Decreases stress

So how much is that? The U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine determined that adequate daily fluid intake is:

  • About 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day for men

  • About 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids a day for women
