It looks like spring might arrive!

Here’s what’s happening this month:

Monday May 3, 7:30 - 8:30 am: Suicide Prevention Task Force

Location: In person at the Public Health Conference room and online with Zoom.

The task force will work with Skyline Principal David Shaw of SCSD #1 to draft a schedule to teach QPR to all District staff during professional development days August 26-31. We will hear progress reports on all summer youth community projects initiated at the last meeting, including youth employment opportunities with the Town of Pinedale, PAC, Union Wireless; review progress on the 4-H Bike Repair class at the skatepark. Continue to identify and fill gaps. Lots of great cross collaboration happening here in this group - they are amazing!

Location: In person at Public Health Conference Room, available online with Zoom

First of 3 workshops to complete the Sublette 5-Year Strategic Plan. This is an opportunity for you or your organization to have a voice in the next 5 years of community prevention grant priorities. The 5 year strategic plan is a grant requirement that needs about 3 more people involved in the planning process. My grandmother always said: If you don't ask for what you want, you for sure won't get what you want and you are not allowed to complain. Tracy Young from Wyoming Association of Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police will facilitate this workshop. Please contact Trisha if you can attend.

Tuesday May 11, 12 - 1 pm, Opiates and Other Drugs Task Force:

Sommers will answer all questions about recent and current marijuana legalization efforts in Wyoming.
